Gigi - The High Flying Giraffe

Long before she ever climbed into the cockpit, Gigi was fascinated by the sky.

Growing up on the Alabama plains, Gigi had one very unusual advantage over everyone else: she could see farther than almost anyone. With her long neck stretching high above the trees, she could spot airplanes long before they appeared to anyone else.

Every time she saw one, she would stop whatever she was doing, tilt her head toward the sky, and wonder where it was going.

As a young giraffe, Gigi would spend hours watching the airplanes flying overhead. She learned to recognize them by their silhouettes, listened for the different sounds of their engines, and eventually began drawing pictures of the airplanes she saw.

But Gigi didn't just want to watch them.

She wanted to know what it felt like to fly.

One afternoon, while exploring an old hangar, Gigi discovered a forgotten vintage airplane covered in dust. Most animals thought it was nothing more than an old machine that had been left behind.

Gigi saw something different.

She saw an adventure waiting to happen.

With the help of some very clever friends, Gigi spent months restoring the airplane. She learned about engines, wings, weather, navigation, and everything else a pilot needs to know. The cockpit was a little cramped for a giraffe, but Gigi was determined.

When the airplane was finally ready, she climbed into the cockpit, adjusted her goggles, wrapped her favorite red scarf around her neck, and pushed the throttle forward.

The old airplane roared to life.

For the first time, Gigi wasn't looking up at the sky.

She was in it.

Today, Gigi is one of the most adventurous pilots around. She flies across Alabama searching for new places to explore, new friends to meet, and new stories to bring home.

And because she can see farther than anyone else, Gigi has developed a reputation for spotting things other pilots miss—an unexpected storm on the horizon, a lost traveler waving from below, or another little airplane waiting to share the sky.

Her philosophy is simple:

“When you can see the world from up here, there's always another adventure waiting.”

So whenever Gigi appears overhead, keep your eyes on the sky.

You might just see a pair of goggles, a red scarf, and the world's tallest pilot flying past.

The sky is calling. Gigi is already on her way.
